How to reach us

  1. Rail: Cologne is well served by rail links from all over Germany and from neighbouring countries
    1. From the main train station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) it is a 10-15 minute walk to Examinations International:
      1. Take the exit marked ‘Breslauer Platz’
      2. Turn left and continue to the traffic lights at the end of the road
      3. Turn right into Eigelstein and continue through the Eigelstein Gate and down the steps ahead
      4. In the underground passage take the first flight of steps on your left
      5. At the top of the steps is a Sparkasse. Sudermanstrasse is to the right of the Sparkasse.
      6. Walk along Sudermanstrasse and turn left into the courtyard immediately after the newsagent’s.
    2. Wet weather alternative: Take the U-Bahn
      1. In the station follow signs for ‘Dom Reisezentrum’
      2. The underground, marked ‘U’, is just before the exit on the left hand side
      3. Take any train in the direction ‘Ebertplatz’ and leave the train at Ebertplatz station (1 stop)
      4. Walk back along the platform in the direction you have travelled and up the stairs
      5. Turn right and walk outside across the open space in front of you
      6. At the sign post take the stairs in the direction ‘Hansaring Sudermanstraße’
      7. Follow the last 2 points above.
    3. From the station Köln-Deutz take any train to the Hauptbahnhof (1 stop/2 minutes) and proceed as above.
  2. Air: Air Berlin and German Wings offer very low costs fares if booked sufficiently far in advance
    1. From Köln/Bonn Airport it is a journey of approximately 25 minutes to Examinations International:
      1. Follow signs to the S-Bahn Platform 2
      2. Take the S13 to Köln Hansaring (18 minutes). There are several exits from the station
      3. On reaching street level look for the VPV Versicherungs building at the traffic lights on the corner of Hansaring and Krefelder Straße
      4. Walk past this building on Hansaring and continue until you reach the Sparkasse on the corner.
      5. Turn left and left again into Sudermanstrasse.
      6. Walk along Sudermanstrasse and turn left into the courtyard immediately after the newsagent’s
  3. Road: As in any large city, there are roadside parking spaces available BUT finding an empty space within easy walking distance of your destination is always a matter of luck and many of them have restricted waiting periods. The multi-storey car parks closest to Examinations International are at Mediapark (10 minutes walk) and Von-Werth-Strasse (15 Minutes walk).
